With Star Trek Online having the pleasure of its ships becoming canon in Star Trek Picard, this just adds to all the hype surrounding the franchise as of late. The voice actor portraying Spock does a great job at emulating the late Leonard Nimoy's speech patterns in an effort to do justice to the character and it feels very organic in this setting. The gameplay gives off a feeling similar to the Mass Effect games with the decision-making, but in the Star Trek universe instead. Throughout the video, there are decisions for conversation points for the player character to bring to the discussion that pops up with controller buttons from an Xbox controller, showing off the decision-making gameplay and examples of the options available.
The video shows Spock arriving in the observation deck/ meeting room of the U.S.S Resolute with the captain to meet with the senior officers to brief them on the mission at hand. The footage is about seven minutes long and gives fans a good amount of information to gauge what this game is going to be like.
